Mental health first aid training for construction firms and major infrastructure projects

Give your supervisors, leading hands and crews the skills to spot a workmate who is struggling, and know what to do about it.

Why construction books this training

Long shifts, time away from home, FIFO and DIDO rosters, and the pressure of a program all take a toll. Crews often notice a change in a mate before anyone else does. The training gives them a clear way to start the conversation and get that person to the right support, including in a crisis.

Backing your safety system

Queensland's code of practice on psychosocial hazards asks employers to manage mental health risks the same way they manage physical ones. Trained mental health first aiders on site are a practical part of that, and many major projects now expect them.

Built around your roster

Standard mental health first aid runs face to face over 2 days, at your site office, crib room or project office. We work around shift patterns, wet weather days and shutdowns. Groups run from 6 to 24, so a whole crew or supervisor team can train together.

Where we go

Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast as standard. Projects elsewhere in Queensland and interstate on request, with travel quoted.
