This policy explains how Lucia Institute for Empowerment Pty Ltd (ABN 25 690 608 783), trading as LIFE, handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Details you give us through our enquiry form, by email or by phone, such as your name, organisation, email, phone number, group size and preferred dates.
  • Details needed to run a course, such as participant names and email addresses.
  • Billing details needed to issue invoices and take deposits. Card payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not store card numbers.
  • Basic information about how people use this website, collected through cookies (see below).

Why we collect it

  • To answer your enquiry, prepare quotes and book courses.
  • To deliver training, register participants and arrange accreditation for those who complete the assessment.
  • To issue invoices and take payments.
  • To understand how our website and advertising perform, so we can improve them.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information where needed to run our service:

  • The licensed instructor delivering your course.
  • Mental Health First Aid Australia, to register participants and issue accreditation.
  • Service providers that host our website, receive form submissions, send email and process payments.

Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and advertising

This website may use cookies from Google to measure visits and the results of our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete it when we no longer need it.

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@luciainstitute.life.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
